Event Name: "I've Got Some Singing To Do!" Date, Time & Venue: Sunday, November 20, 2011 at 4:00pm.
First Church of Christ, Congregational; Middletown, CTEvent Info: The GMC will perform this title piece by composer and Connecticut native Gwyneth Walker in this first concert of the 2011-2012 season. The concert will also feature the complete work Frostiana: Seven Country Songs by New England composer, Randall Thompson, who used the poems of his friend Robert Frost to create a sensitive musical rendition of the classic poetry. The GMC will also present a premiere new work by Hartt School Graduate Colin Britt, a piece that was commissioned for our group using some of the beautiful poetry of John Keats.

Bethany Covenant Church; Berlin, CTEvent Info: After last May's sold-out performance at Bethany Covenant Church, the GMC returns this season for another performance in the Bethany Covenant Church Music Series on Saturday, May 12. Choral works will include works by these three ‘B's’: Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb and Festival Te Deum and Brahms' Nänie. Guest Artist, internationally acclaimed soprano Susan von Reichenbach, also will perform songs by Brahms, including Op. 91 with Ann West, cellist, and Joseph D'Eugenio, pianist.
